A massively unique wirting instrument that might never leave your hand. Simply unscrew the cap and write away!
The stunning hardware is equally complemented by the ribbed pattern of a material that you wouldn't imagine can do that - a spruce cone. The Spruce cone is from one of several Ontarian cities - Woodstock, Hamilton, Guelph, or Kitchener. It has been cast in red resin to preseve the cone during the machining process. The ribbed pattern is esentially the centre of the cone. The skull style pens portray the spine of the spruce cone best due to their large pen size.
The pen's body has a barrel shape and is finished with Pure Tung Oil and Carnauba-based Wax. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items. The Carnauba-based wax forms a light 'skin' finish which serves as an additional layer of protection. The combination of the two finishes emphasize the beauty of the wood while preserving its natural feel.
The hardware components are cast pewter. The skull insignia is prevalent on the cap where the skull head has two Swarovski crystals as eyes; the clip that is in the shape of a bone; and the hand on the end finial.
The pen comes in two different variations:
- The rollerball pen uses a fine-tipped (0.6mm) ceramic roller refill from Schmidt.
- The fountain pen comes with an Iridium Point medium nib manufactured in Germany and takes an ink well or a prefilled cartridge.
Hold this skull-themed pen in your hand and wirte with it every day! Each pen comes with a copmlimentary velvet pouch; however, for best protection, please consider one of our amazing wooden pen cases.
