Crafted from a Maple tree that has lived and died in Goderich Ontario. This particular maple tree has a miriad of colours, shades, and textures. For this particular writing instrument, the piece of wood displays the amazing colours around a knot in the tree.

The pen's wood body has a barrel shape and is finished with Pure Tung Oil. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items.

The hardware has a gun metal finish and is made to resemble a gun cartridge while the clip resembles a rifle.

The pen is available as a ballpoint and takes on a standard Parker style refill.
