The wood used is Banksia Seed Pod native to Australia. Once the seed pod releases the seeds, numerous holes are left; those holes are then filled with a resin and a colour. The resulting blank is turned leaving a completely unique creation. Every pod has different number of seeds situation in different areas of it; therefore no two pens made from it are the same.

The wood is turned to a barrel shape and finished with Pure Tung Oil and Carnauba-based Wax. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items. The Carnauba-based wax forms a light 'skin' finish which serves as an additional layer of protection. The combination of the two finishes emphasize the beauty of the wood while preserving its natural feel.

The hardware is finished in Rhodium with Black Titanium accents and available as a rollerball or a fountain pen.
- The rollerball pen uses a fine-tipped (0.6mm) ceramic roller refill from Schmidt.
- The fountain pen comes with an Iridium Point medium nib manufactured in Germany and takes an ink well or a prefilled cartridge.
