This rollerball or fountain pen might rarely leave your hand! Not only will you write with it constantly, but you'll show off to everyone around you. Simply unscrew the cap and write away!

Crafted from a Maple tree that has lived and died in Goderich ON. This particular piece of the wood has been least affected by the spalting that has occurred in the remainder of the tree. Nevertheless, the wood still displays various shades of yellow along wild grain structure and light gray discolouration. Not only that, the cap boasts a piece of the knot in the tree further adding to the beauty.

The pen's wood body has a barrel shape and the end cap has been subsituted with wood. The pen is finished with Pure Tung Oil and Carnauba-based Wax. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items. The Carnauba-based wax forms a light 'skin' finish which serves as an additional layer of protection. The combination of the two finishes emphasize the beauty of the wood while preserving its natural feel.

Both the rollerball and fountain pen hardware are finished with rhodium with 22K gold accents.

The rollerball pen comes with a fine-tipped (0.6mm) ceramic roller cartridge refill from Schmidt. The rollerball tip ensures smooth and even lines to your hand-writing.

The fountain pen comes with an Iridium Point medium nib manufactured in Germany and takes an ink well or a prefilled cartridge. The pen is uninked and will ship with the ink well attachment only. The prefilled cartridges are susceptible to damage and therefore are not shipped to protect your purchase.

To access the refill or the ink, simply unscrew the tip from the middle. In case of the rollerball pen, make sure you don't lose the spring that goes at the end of the refill.

Customization for this pen is available although not recommended due to the already busy grain structure. Customization comes in the form of an inscription of up to 5 words that will be burnt onto the wood in one or two lines matching, as closely as possible, the font you provide. To have your pen customized, simply select 'Customize Cap' or 'Customize Body' in the customization option and upload an image with your text.
