This pen is a luxury of writing instruments and you can choose between a rollerball pen or a fountain pen. Simply unscrew the cap and write away!
Crafted from a single piece of Buckeye Burl, tree native to Eastern United States, this pen showcases the characteristics for the wood - multicoloured, porous, swirly grained, with plenty of natural dents and imperfections. This is another of nature's creations that must be admired as it is presented - a natural masterpiece.
The pen's wood body is turned to a cylindrical shape and finished with Pure Tung Oil and Carnauba-based Wax. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items. The Carnauba-based wax forms a light 'skin' finish that serves as an additional layer of protection. The combination of the two finishes emphasize the beauty of the wood while preserving the natural feel of the wood.
Both the rollerball and fountain pen hardware are finished in rhodium with gold accents. The threads at the back allow you to attach the cap for extra length and balance.
The rollerball pen comes with a fine-tipped (0.6mm) ceramic roller cartridge refill from Schmidt. The rollerball tip ensures smooth and even lines to your hand-writing.
The fountain pen comes with an Iridium Point fine nib manufactured in Germany and takes an ink well or a prefilled cartridge. The pen is uninked and will ship with the ink well attachment only. The prefilled cartridges are susceptible to damage in cold temperatures and therefore are not shipped to protect your purchase.
To access the refill or the ink, simply unscrew the tip from the middle. In case of the rollerball pen, make sure you don't loose the spring that goes at the end of the refill.
Customization for this pen is not available.
This pen would rarely leave your hand! Not only you'll write with it constantly, but you'll show off this beautiful hand-Crafted writing instrument to everyone around you.
