Beautifully Crafted from North American Maple, the pen also features an inlay from African Padauk – a tree native to Central and tropical West Africa. The red colour of the African Padauk stands out against the white wood of the Maple making it a lovely focal point. This is an example of how ordinary woods can come together to form stunning pieces.

The wood is turned to a barrel shape and finished with Pure Tung Oil and Carnauba-based Wax. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items. The Carnauba-based wax forms a light 'skin' finish which serves as an additional layer of protection. The combination of the two finishes emphasize the beauty of the wood while preserving its natural feel.

The hardware is finished in chrome. The pen is available in three styles: ballpoint pen, pencil, and ballpoint pen with stylus tip.

The ballpoint pens (with or without stylus) come with a Cross-style refill. To access the refill, separate the two halves applying consistent force while ensuring that you don't lose the centre band; then unscrew the refill from the twist mechanism.

The pencil takes on 0.7mm pencil leads. To access the lead chamber, remove the click cap to expose the eraser and then remove the eraser.

Customization for this pen is available. Customization comes in the form of an inscription of up to 5 words that will be burnt onto the wood in one or two lines matching, as closely as possible, the font you provide. To have your stylus customized, simply select 'Customize Tip Section' or 'Customize Clip Section' in the customization option and upload an image with your text.

The pen, pencil, or pen with stylus tip are so functional, they may never leave your hand. Complimentary velvet pouch is included with the purchase; the stylus holder in the images is sold separately.
