Beautifully Crafted from Redwood Burl - a tree native to North-Western coast of United States. The wood has quite visible curly grain figure. The colour ranges from a light pinkish brown to a deep reddish brown within the same piece.

The SlimlinePlus pens feature a wood centre band as opposed to the metal one on the regular Slimline pens. For these pens, the centre band is made from Bog Oak - a tree that has been petrified for over 5000 years and harvested from the Ukraine. It contrasts the main wood with its porous grain and black colour.

The wood is turned to a barrel shape and finished with Pure Tung Oil and Carnauba-based Wax. The Tung Oil penetrates the wood to emphasize the grain and colour. The oil does not contain artificial thinners or cure-accelerants and is approved for food-contact items. The Carnauba-based wax forms a light 'skin' finish which serves as an additional layer of protection. The combination of the two finishes emphasize the beauty of the wood while preserving its natural feel.

Available in two styles: ballpoint pen and ballpoint pen with stylus tip.

The ballpoint pens (with or without stylus) comes with a Cross-style refill. To access the refill, separate the two halves applying consistent force while ensuring that you don't lose the centre band; then unscrew the refill from the twist mechanism.

Customization for this pen is available. Customization comes in the form of an inscription of up to 5 words that will be burnt onto the wood in one or two lines matching, as closely as possible, the font you provide. To have your pen customized, simply select 'Customize Tip Section' or 'Customize Clip Section' in the customization option and upload an image with your text.
