Not everything goes according to plan.
This little crack happened as I was continuing to work on my pen cases. The big gap may be easier to fix, but the little crack that goes up may not be.
The gap filling is done with cherry sawdust and epoxy glue. This way at least the colour is preserved but the fix will still be visible.

Mirror mirror on the wood, these ones look so good.... I finally made it - I created a mirror Lichtenberg burn pattern on the top of the cases.
Sometimes you just need to help the wood dry faster - by using a toaster oven
