Preparing for the Home County Music Fest. Making Bankisa seed pods blanks
I'm cooking up some Banksia seed pods. It turns out I ran out of them last weekend, so more on the way.
As you can see, the usable area of the seed pod is a lot smaller than the actual pod itself. Not only that, the outer shell of the pod consists of tiny "pebbles" which fly off any time you cut them. For those that manage to stay attached and get hardened, they make a beautiful mosaic pattern. All should be ready for the home county music fest next weekend.
